Aaron J. Staples

PhD student at Michigan State University in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics.

My Research Interests

Beer Economics

The United States is now home to over 8,000 breweries providing endless options to the consumer. The “Craft Beer Revolution” has been responsible for diversifying this market and extending to a wider consumer base.

Behavioral Economics

Why do we do the things we do? Behavioral economics incorporates a psychological and sociological component to decision making and explains deviations from neoclassical economic thought.

How will industry and agriculture adapt to climate change? I am particularly interested in exploring how climate change affects specialty crops and their value chains.
